My novel Boarding is finished and off to the editors at Breathless Press. I was developing this as a novella but the story began to take shape after several weeks of creating and I found there was more to say.
Jessie Carter is a determined woman hoping to meet a renowned model, but her boyfriend is afraid he’ll lose her and wants to derail her hopes of a career in fashion design.
In four days in New York, she gets a dress-making assignment, has to fend off a reporter who wants to dig up dirt on the model, and finds herself more attracted to the gay lover of the model’s assistant than she does her boyfriend.
Her trip is like boarding a flight for the next journey in her life and she doesn’t know the twists and turns ahead.
I’ll update on how the acceptance and editing process shapes up. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing excerpts.
